Overview
NorthWest Copper believes a strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) foundation drives responsible mineral exploration and creates long-term value for local communities, the environment, and society. We are committed to responsible mineral exploration and to the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples brought into practice under British Columbia’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA).
We strive to build collaborative relationships with the Indigenous leaders and communities where we operate to create economic opportunities while protecting the environment and respecting traditional land use. We also work closely with communities of interest to ensure we understand interests and concerns and use this understanding to address potential impacts. We recognize our presence on the land during exploration and how we carry out our programs demonstrates our long-term commitment to communities and sustainability.
